The Return Of The Lone Wolf

GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES is a fighting game by SNK Corporation. The game was originally released for the arcades in 1999. It features SNK’s signature pixel art style with smooth animation, great soundtrack, and intense action. Taking place after the events of Fatal Fury, peace resumes in Southtown after the death of crime lord Geese Howard. His son Rock Howard becomes the protege of Southtown’s hero Terry Borgard. A new tournament is hosted by a new crime lord Kain R. Heinlein. Rock and Terry take part in the tournament along with other martial artists for their own reasons. The game has 12+ playable characters with individual move lists. It has a “Breaking” system where players can cancel their character’s skill if it hits for quick recovery. The adjustable “T.O.P.” mode boosts characters upon reaching a certain amount of health left. The “Just Defend” system rewards players with small health and time for a counterattack. It is executed by a well-timed block. Players have to reach AAA rank to reach the true final boss and unlock each character’s ending. They can practice first in the training mode to learn move lists and game mechanics. This game comes with multiplayer mode and leaderboards for the competitive scene.
